We are located on a local southwest Missouri farm, Red Bell Farms, where the bulk of our products are produced.

We believe in the statement know your farmer, know your food. We highlight all of our farmers and their growing practices here so you can be confident you are feeding your family quality food. 
We desire to see our food system change into one where people are getting the majority of their food locally and seasonally from small farmers they can know and trust.

About the Name:
In 1928, my great-grandparents, Helene and John Bell Sr, homesteaded the original 100 acres of what is now Red Bell Farms. They grew, harvested, and ate nearly all of their food right on the farm. As a homage to them, the farm, and the old way of doing things, my mom came up with the name Market 1928. I share my mom's passion for growing food and studying all things nutrition. I believe a better food system means a better world, and that is my reason for starting Market 1928.
