Frequently Asked Questions
What is raw milk?
Raw milk is milk that has not been pasteurized or heated to any extent. Our milk goes straight from the cow to a stainless steel bulk tank where it is cooled to 38 degrees.
Is your milk 100% grass-fed?
Apart from their time in the barn, our cows are always on fresh in-season grass, but they receive a local grain feed mix just prior to milking. The grain accounts for less than 5% of their overall food.
How long does raw milk last?
For every degree over 38 that the milk gets, a day of shelf-life is lost. We strongly recommend bringing a cooler with ice, especially in the warmer months, to ensure taste, quality, and shelf life are optimal. We also encourage your milk to be stored in the fridge and not in the door. IF all of these protocols are followed, we GUARANTEE our milk for a minimum of 14 days.
Do you sell half gallons?
We only offer our milk in gallon size at this time.
Do you sell cream?
Yes. We have a limited supply of cream available most days. Requires a pre-order at least 48 hours in advance
How does it work?
Market 1928 hours are Friday and Saturday 8am-3pm, and Sunday 10am-3pm. Unreserved milk is sold on a first come, first serve basis. If you would like to guarantee your milk and become a regular customer, see below.
How do I get signed up for regular milk pick up?
Contact Roxanne at 417-466-8313. Please note that at this time our waitlist is quite long. Check our Facebook page for when we have extra milk available for drop-in customers.
*Understand that it is our policy that if you do not pick up your milk on your specific day, three times (a no call/no show for 3 separate instances), you will be moved to spontaneous milk pick ups.
